In the world of trying to run a business, I see so many books, courses, and blogs about strategy. Strategy is amazing! Everything you want to learn is out there. But your thoughts and beliefs are the other half of the equation. Your mindset is everything! If you don’t get this part right, your actions will never get traction!
In simple terms, this is how I would break it down. Your thoughts create your beliefs, your beliefs form your feelings, your feelings form your actions. A belief is just a thought you think over and over. Some of these we formed early in life from the people around us. Some of them we picked up along the way. Either way, our beliefs aren’t as permanent as you might think. We can change them if they’re not serving us or limiting what we think is possible for ourselves.
There’s a couple of ways you can change your limiting beliefs. You can start telling yourself a different story with the thoughts you think to yourself. You don’t need to believe every thought that you think. You always have the option to choose a positive or negative one. You can take as much action as you want but without your mindset supporting you, it makes it hard to get anywhere!
Language and the words we speak to yourself make a huge impact on our subconscious. Your subconscious always wants to prove you right by providing evidence of what you think. If you think you can you can, and if you think you can’t, you can’t. Either way, you’re right. So it’s important to choose thoughts that empower us and our actions. Your brain is super pliable, and you can reprogram your mindset to support what you want to do. Start telling yourself you CAN do it. That you’ve got this! Because whatever you start telling your subconscious is what it is going to make true for you!
